Covid-19 Update

From 19th July 2021, legal restrictions in England were removed, however Fitness Quest members are still being asked to comply with certain precautions, you can read about these here.

Epiphany Car Park

Please could everyone who parks their car at Epiphany Primary school for classes ensure they DO NOT drive out of the entrance when they leave. There have been some very near misses as people driving into the entrance or pedestrians crossing it are not expecting a vehicle to be exiting through it. If you need directions to the exit please ask at class.

Class Updates

New Class - Functional Fitness

This brand new class will be taking the late Monday class slot on the timetable in the new year - Please see below for further details.

Early Bird Prices

Starting from the next block of courses I will be reintroducing early bird prices. Unfortunately, with increasing overheads and still reduced numbers due to social distancing, the early bird fees will be the same as the current course fees. The main reason I'm reintroducing early bird fees is to allow me enough time to ensure classes are financially viable to run. The last blocks of classes were not viable to run up until the day they were due to start. Hopefully early bird fees provide an incentive to pay a couple of weeks early - I hope you all understand why these changes are necessary and announcing them now gives you enough time to plan ahead (if not, please let me know).

Christmas Closure

The last classes before the Christmas break will be on Wednesday 22nd December 2021 and classes will return to normal on Wednesday 5th January 2022.

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS
  • Six week course starts Monday 10th January 2022 and finishes 28th February 2022 (no classes on 14th or 21st February 2022), 7:35pm - 8:05pm, Epiphany Primary School, Muscliff, BH9 3PE. Booking confirmed upon payment in full. You will require your own weight/s (e.g. dumbbells/kettlebell) and exercise mat/towel. 
        - Early bird price £30 (payment required by 27th December 2021)
        - Regular price £36 (for payments made from 28th December 2021)

Functional fitness is an extremely beneficial concept which focuses on performing exercises that mimic everyday activities (lifting objects, climbing stairs). When you become fitter and stronger at performing functional exercises, day to day life feels easier and your risk of injury is reduced. While this may not sound like a fun class, Fitness Quest will be planning different challenges each week to keep your mind and body guessing. A short, sharp, 30 minute class that'll get your muscles working, heart pumping and sweat pouring. Don't expect for this to be an easy class... After all, sitting down is a squat, falling down and getting back up is a burpee and lifting an object is a deadlift. As always, you'll be coached through safe and effective technique and modifications/alternative exercises will always be an option. 

KETTLERCISE
  • Current course finishes 20th December 2021

            - Regular price £42 (for payments made from 28th December 2021)
    Kettlercise® covers a huge range of 37 kettlebell exercises ranging from basic moves to more advanced techniques, from high energy pulse raises to being able to place extra emphasis on target muscle groups like abs, glutes, arms and thighs and all with maximum effectiveness. It will not only destroy unwanted body fat but completely shape your body!

    PiYo

    • Current course finishes 16th March 2022 (no class on 16th February or 9th March 2022).

    PiYo is a group fitness class inspired by Pilates and Yoga. It's a full body workout designed to improve your strength and flexibility. Although inspired by Pilates and Yoga, forget everything you know about these techniques... PiYo is a whole new format in it's own right. I've never taught anything quite like it, you can certainly feel it challenging your muscles in ways you've never felt them work before! Putting together our PiYo poses, we are constantly flowing from one move to another, ensuring you don't stay still. This makes PiYo not only great for strength and flexibility but also calorie burn (there will be lots of sweat)!

    During a PiYo live class, we'll complete a series of tracks such as a warm up, heat building, lower body, full body fusion etc. All of these tracks are done to an upbeat soundtrack, so no whale music, as lovely as it is ;-) It's all low impact (with the option to add in a few jumps), and involves no weights, just your own body.

    SCULPT & BURN
    • Current course finishes 16th March 2022 (no class on 16th February or 9th March 2022).
    Each class includes a variety of strength and conditioning exercises which vary weekly. Combining these two types of training styles will maximise all round results. This class is ideal for those with a moderate to high fitness level and people looking for a physical challenge.

    BOOKING INFORMATION

    Course places must be booked in advance and your place can only be held once payment in full has been received. Bookings are non refundable and non transferrable. 

    Due to restricted class numbers, please book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
